Hello all,
You likely found me originally on Instagram at @holistic.therapy.with.jen
Maybe you opted-in on my main mail-list that I’ve had on Mailchimp. Or, perhaps, you opted-in, through the website where I have my course, the Panic Attack and Anxiety Toolbox. Regardless, you opted in to get my updates and, admittedly, the way I had it laid out for myself was kind of a mess.
As this year has been gradually winding down, I found myself re-evaluating my newsletter and the outlets I have for my writing. A few months ago I discovered substack and I really liked the layout and platform to share my writings.
The benefit of substack is that everyone subscribed can read my writings for free. However, in order to comment and participate in discussions, you can subscribe at the affordable rate of $7/month or, even lower, at $70/year. Occasionally, I’ll have some posts and offerings for subscribers-only.
The reasons for the fees are to help prevent spam comments and to ensure that the comments and discussions fostered are from those who truly benefit from what I share. And, let’s be honest, most writers don’t get a lot in compensation for their work nowadays. However, it is a joy for me to have an outlet to share my thoughts and reflections rather than only do work in the therapy room.
Seeing people subscribe sends me the message that people find what I’m doing valuable in some way, rather than for me to simply write into the void of the internet without a whole lot of feedback.
For those who greatly appreciate my work and really want to support me, of course, you have the option to become a Founding member at $210/year. At this time, I have not established any extra benefits for anyone at that price point but, of course, I do greatly appreciate those who are able and willing to support me in this way.
For those who were following my posts in my podia community, I will be deleting that community portal in the next week or two, so you won’t have to worry about potentially being charged twice if you’ve chosen to be a paid subscriber.
Of course, I will still keep my podia account open for those who have purchased my Panic Attack & Anxiety Toolbox course so you still have access. By the way, if you don’t have it and want access, you can get it here.
But, anyway, that’s all my updates for now. These emails are not something that I particularly I like doing, but it does feel necessary when doing this kind of transition. I do have one article written that I’d like to publish in the near future, so be on the lookout for that probably next week.
Thanks for being here and I look forward to seeing what the New Year will bring.
Warmly,
Jennifer
