Many of us struggle to hear our own intuition in the midst of all the noise that we hear from others around us about what we “should” or “should not” do. We might even find ourselves overthinking our decisions and feel like we need to have a “good enough rationale” in order for our decision to be valid.
Falling down the path of overthinking decisions can make things harder than easier. And focusing on what you “should” be doing rather than what you truly want and need. actually expends far more energy than necessary.
Intuition does not need an extensive rationale to be valid. Intuition is a felt sense. It’s a gut feeling. It’s something that you know that cannot be explained in a way that can provide any certainty because there’s nothing outside of you to measure it. It’s entirely based on the messages your body sends you.
So let’s explore this a little bit.
