If you’ve been following me for a while, then you probably know that I’ve recently become a mother.
Since the birth took place in July a lot has happened (and is still happening). There’s a lot that I want to say and yet, it’s been hard to identify which parts of this experience I feel ready to share.
One of the hardest aspects for me in this transition to becoming a mother has been around support.
When you have a baby, everyone seems to ask: Do you have support? Or, Do you have help?
The truth is that it’s been hard. Really, really hard.
To receive support.
To not receive support.
And asking for support even when it feels hard and uncomfortable to do so.
