I had every intention of sharing a new article today. In fact, in the last couple weeks I started a few new articles and I had the intention of sharing one of them today.
However, at about 6 weeks postpartum, COVID19 hit our household. We are all currently fine and healthy (nothing to worry about there, thankfully). But I’ve been spending the last few days in recovery, caring for the little one, and trying to rest as much as possible.
And so that’s what I’m continuing to do this morning because that’s where I’m at and that’s what I most need right now.
So this is just a little update and a reminder to rest when you feel the need to rest.
To slow down when you need to slow down.
To say no to expectations when you feel in your mind, body and spirit that you don’t have the energy to meet those expectations.
And, above all else, to take care of yourself. Because there is only one you and you don’t really have much to give to others if you’re not doing what you need to do to make sure that you yourself are taken care of.
So on that note, I’ll be spending the rest of the day resting and I hope that in the next few days I’ll be fully recovered and have the energy to share some new thoughts next Sunday.
